The challenge
In order to showcase local artists, as well as provide information in Spanish about international artists, Sony Music Europe had created a database and web framework that local sites could use to their benefit.
For that purpose, Sony Music Spain contracted me to design their new website and provide content management support after the launch.
The solution
At the time, Sony Music Spain had no website in existence so it needed a brand-new Information Architecture and design. The resulting site offered an edgy design, while providing up-to-date information about news, album releases and concerts. The weekly issues of news were archived and artist information was constantly updated from the central database in London.
My role in the project
I was responsible for all aspects of design and development of the Sony Music site, both during the initial construction of the website and in creating custom weekly front-pages. I was also the primary liaison between the Spanish office and the European Central Office for all matters relating to the website.
